Franklin Golden
Pastor
Franklin Golden was installed as the pastor of St. John’s Church on September 14, 2008. He is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke Divinity School. Before coming to St. John’s Franklin worked as a theater producer (Mojo Productions). He has also worked in different capacities in congregations in Charlotte and Troy, NC.
Franklin is married to Martha Erwin Golden, his best friend from high school. Martha is a psychologist in private practice in Durham. They have three children, Mawi (pronounced “Moi”), Lily, Davis.
Amanda Diekman
Community Care Pastor
Amanda was ordained and installed as a minister at St. John’s in November 2010, to serve in community care – the nurture, love, development, and growth of all God’s children toward the likeness of Jesus Christ. Amanda grew up in Greensboro, NC and attended Duke Divinity School. She has a passion for racial reconciliation and a love for those who are most vulnerable in our communities.
Amanda is joyfully married to Brian, a doctoral student in bio-medical engineering and a faithful follower of Jesus.
