Become a garden member
Thanks for your interest in the St. John’s Community Garden!
As a member, you get to take home a share of fresh, beautiful vegetables every time you volunteer. You don’t need to be a member of the church or an experienced gardener to get involved.
What it means to be a member:
- Fee: We ask for a minimum donation of $10 per individual or $15 per household per growing season (spring/summer or fall/winter)
- Volunteer: Garden members work 4 hours per month (for example, you can volunteer for one Saturday workday from 9-1pm, or come every week for an hour after work)
- Eat: Each time you volunteer, you will go home with a bountiful share of the produce from the garden that day!
* We’ll work with each person to ensure that cost is never a barrier. We have scholarships available for those who need it.
You can become a member of the Community Garden by coming to a workday, emailing Rev. Amanda Diekman, or filling out the online sign-up form below. We will follow up with you with more details very soon after receiving your information!
For the $10 or $15 membership fee, you can mail a check or bring your donation to a Saturday workday. Please make the check out to: “St. John’s Presbyterian Church” with “Garden” in the memo line. Mail to: PO Box 71379, Durham, NC 27722.
