Arts Ministry

The goal of the Arts Ministry at St. John’s is to renew worship and the church through artistic practice. Our hope is to develop new and faithful ways to live our Christian life through creative expression, both within the context of worship and in our daily lives.

Creative expression is a vital part of each person, a gift from God. Our creative sides – the parts of us that quilt, make model trains, sing, dance, cook – are all ways we can glorify God. All these activities express some part of our deepest selves and can help us carry God’s message into the world.

Our deepest prayer for the Arts Ministry at St. John’s is that through it people will be able to discern callings, deepen ministry, and grow in attentiveness to God.
